At Nunbelievable, we pride ourselves onour mission to support hunger relief efforts in America. Every member of our team is committed to changing lives for the better, one cookie at a time: Each sale we make translates into the donation of a meal to one of our hunger-relief agency impact partners.
We’ve recently brought on Maria Cortes as an intern to help expand our online partnerships. Maria is a student at the University of Pittsburgh, where she is studying marketing, economics, and French. We are excited about the role she will play and are eager to make sure she gets the most out of this internship.
When she was exploring internship opportunities, she was drawn to the Nunbelievable mission. “I loved the idea of giving back to the community,” says Maria, a native of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. “This is very different from when you buy a regular pack of cookies, becauseNunbelievable cookies are helping people in need. That’s why I’m going to push these cookies to everyone I know!”
Maria will be focusing on broadening our visibility on various online platforms that sell Nunbelievable cookies. She will work to strengthen these relationships and help spread the word that our cookies are a delicious treat that are making a positive impact in the world. “So far it’s been a great experience as I learn more about the business and ways to grow it,” she says. “I am really enjoying working with everybody here.”
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Maria join the team,” says Nunbelievable Co-Founder Bryan Janeczko. “Maria is a bright and committed person who is passionate about our mission. We are looking forward to mentoring her as she learns about our business and the power of giving back. Her infectious energy and enthusiasm are sure to help strengthen the connection Nunbelievable is making.”
Our mission wasn’t the only reason Maria wanted to work with us. “I love shortbread cookies, they are one of my favorite desserts,” she says with a laugh. “Nunbelievable’s shortbread cookies are so buttery and delicious, they are definitely my favorites. And the fact that they give back to the community makes them extra special.”
